AMANDA GREEN-HAWKINS JUDGE QUITA BRIDGES
Tuesday night, May 20, was Election Night in the state of Pennsylvania, and in the race for Pittsburgh Public School Board Directors and judges on the Court of Common Pleas, many Black women claimed victories on the Democratic side.
In the judicial races, Amanda Green-Hawkins secured the most Democratic votes with over 93,000, which was 13,000 more than the second person, Dan Miller. Quita Bridges also secured her spot, coming in third with roughly 80,000 votes.
TRACEY REED TAWANA COOK PURNELL ERIKKA GRAYSON
For the Pittsburgh Public School Board of Directors, Tawana Cook Purnell won the Democratic bid for District 1. Erikka Grayson won the Democratic bid for District 3. And Tracey Reed won the Democratic bid for District 5.
