Pittsburgh, PA – City of Pittsburgh Offices and CitiParks Facilities will be closed and refuse collections will be postponed on Wednesday, June 19th in observance of the Juneteenth Holiday. The Department of Public Works advises that on Wednesday June 19, 2024 there will not be any refuse, bulk waste and recycling collection (If this is your scheduled recycling week). The schedule shall proceed as follows; If your scheduled day of collection is Wednesday June 19, 2024 you will be serviced Thursday June 20, 2024 If your scheduled day of collection is Thursday June 20, 2024 you will be serviced Friday, June 21, 2024 If your scheduled day of collection is Friday, June 21, 2024 you will be serviced Saturday, June 22, 2024 If you should have any questions concerning your collection, please contact the Bureau of Environmental Services at 412-255-2773. CitiParks will have 6 Healthy Active Living Centers as Cooling Centers open on Wednesday, June 19th, Juneteenth Holiday, from Noon to 7 PM. They are: Beechview Healthy Active Living Community Center, Brighton Heights Healthy Active Living Community Center, Greenfield Healthy Active Living Community Center, Homewood Healthy Active Living Community Center, Sheraden Healthy Active Living Community Center and South Side Healthy Active Living Community Center.
