The New Pittsburgh Courier salutes Ms. Ruth Green, who turned 100 years young on March 14. A small group of family and friends celebrated with Ms. Green at a restaurant in Monroeville for the occasion. Ms. Green was a member of the Sixth Mount Zion Church choir, and she also worked at a hardware store for 25 years. She was married to Major Green, who belonged to St. Cyprian Lodge Chapter 13, until his death in 2019.
