Providence Connections honored Melvin Hubbard El with its 2021 Community-Family Leadership award at the second-annual Feast for Families on Friday, Oct. 8, at LeMont Restaurant, in Mt. Washington.

Providence Connections, a ministry sponsored by the Sisters of Divine Providence, strengthens families and enriches lives on Pittsburgh’s North Side through comprehensive education and developmental opportunities for both parents and children.
El was nominated for the award by James Paolicelli, Providence Connections’ Fatherhood Program Coordinator. He was nominated and eventually chosen as the award recipient due to his unwavering commitment to bettering the lives of families in the Pittsburgh community and Allegheny County.
