16 new COVID cases reported in Allegheny County, no new deaths

Allegheny County reported 16 COVID-19 cases on Friday, no new deaths and no new hospitalizations. The county has now reported a total of 2,138 cases, 177 deaths and 361 past and present hospitalizations.

Pennsylvania reported 526 cases and 38 new deaths Friday. The state has now reported a total of 80,762 cases and 6,399 deaths.

Personal care and nursing homes continue to bear the brunt of the infections, with residents and workers representing roughly one in five of all cases. Resident deaths account for nearly seven in 10 fatalities.
