Brashear edged the USO Eagles, 9-8, in the first semi-final game, Oct. 26 at Cupples. “We had a couple guys go down,” Brashear head coach Rick Murphy told the Courier. “Everybody just kept pushing through, they stuck it out and in the end, we overcame some things, and it showed that they really bought into what we’ve been trying to teach them.”
Now, the teams look ahead to Nov. 4. A chance for a title, a chance for bragging rights, a chance to be the last team standing on the Cupples Stadium field.

“We’re looking forward to a tough contest,” Allderdice coach Haslett said. “You don’t expect to lose. We’re coming in expecting to win the game.”
As for the Bulls of Brashear, “We’ll give it our all,” Bulls’ coach Murphy said. “We’ve been there before, we’ll figure it out.”
