Women of Service: Nine Decades of Leading the Way (Debbie's Lifestyles photos Aug. 16)


Marisa Jamison presented the Program Committee Awards to: Brenda Parks, American Heart Association and Marva Brown, Board of Directors Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. Joelynn H. Parham presented scholarships to two scholars that plan to attend a historically-Black college or university. The recipients were: Scott Graves III, who will attend Tuskegee University and Joy Kirkland, who will attend Spelman College. Each recipient received $1,500, brother Sean Graves and his mother Kimberly Graves accepted for Scott. A non-traditional recipient, Olivia Bennett, also received a scholarship of $2,000. Baker is over 30 years of age and pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree at Carlow College.
