Support Technician
Port Authority is seeking an Infrastructure Support Technician to participate in the inspection, set-up, installation, maintenance, problem diagnosis, and repair of computer hardware, and related peripherals, including software installation. Identify, analyze, troubleshoot and resolve client technical service requests. Identify, analyze, troubleshoot and resolve basic network connectivity issues. This includes but is not limited to: workstation or printer connectivity to the Network or Internet. Work as a team member to collaboratively resolve client requests and technical issues with other team members, partners and vendors.
Job requirements include:
•High School diploma or GED
•Two (2) years technical school/Associates Degree from an accredited school with four (4) years relevant experience; or four (4) year related college degree from an accredited school with two (2) years relevant experience. Directly related experience may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis.
•Demonstrated ability in the use of Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.
•Professional and effective communication skills.
•Customer-oriented approach to problem solving issues regarding the PC.
