Music mogul Mathew Knowles believes if a person lives their passion, they will never work a day in their lives. In his self-help motivational book, “DNA of Achievers: 10 Traits of Highly Successful Professionals,” he explains how to do that and be prosperous.
“The inspiration for this book came from teaching,” explained Knowles who has taught at Texas Southern University for the last eight years. “You get to travel and meet a lot of new people and hear them tell their story and hear that excitement and all these people I meet are successful and then I started thinking about my friends and the people I know—many of whom are very successful—and I decided to let this be the benchmark of me as an author.”
Knowles, the father of world renown entertainer Beyoncé Knowles, melded all his experiences as an entertainment trailblazer, and business visionary together to come up with 10 traits one needs to become successful: Passion, Vision, Work Ethic, Team Building, Planning, Talk to Do Ratio, Risk Takers, Learning from Failure, Giving Back, and Thinking Outside the Box.
