Ensign Brian Williams helping protect America

(Mediterranean Sea)—Ensign Brian Williams, from Pittsburgh, stands watch on the bridge of the USS Laboon (DDG 58), July 4. Laboon, an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer, homeported in Norfolk, Va. The ship is conducting naval operations in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national security interests in Europe.  Williams is from Monroeville, but currently lives in Penn Hills. He attended Gateway High School and from there went on to the Naval Academy. He’s 24 years old and has two siblings.
