Resume Assistance
JULY 18— The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh will host its Resume Assistance from 12-2 p.m. at the Downtown & Business Branch, 612 Smithfield St., Downtown. Qualified volunteers and staff will be on hand to help individuals develop a strong resume to land an interview. Participants are asked to bring a copy or their resume. Business Institute Seminar
JULY 22—The Business Institute of the African American Chamber of Commerce of Western Pennsylvania will host “How to do business with the Allegheny County Airport Authority” at 9 a.m. at the Koppers Building, 436 Seventh Ave., Downtown. Chamber members will be introduced to the Allegheny County Airport Authority’s procedures on doing business as well as their DBE/Outreach Manger and their procurement and construction teams to start the process of building relationships. Lunch and Learn Series
JULY 23— The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh will host its Lunch & Learn Series at 12:15 p.m. at the Downtown & Business Branch, 612 Smithfield St., Downtown. The topic will be “How to Start a Food Truck Business.” There will be a panel discussion where attendees will have the opportunity to learn how to start a food truck from local street vendors and Allegheny County Health Department officials. Members’ Orientation
JULY 28—The African American Chamber of Commerce of Western Pennsylvania will host its Members’ Orientation from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Koppers Building, 436 Seventh Ave., Downtown. This is a program for new and existing Chamber members. Individuals will learn the value of being a part of the Chamber’s organized body as well as get an overview of the Chamber and the Chamber Foundation.
