JUNE 4—The University of Pittsburgh’s University Center for Social and Urban Research, Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence and Small Business Development Center will host “The First Step: Mechanics of Starting a Small Business” from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Homestead Branch of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, 510 E. 10th Ave., Homestead. This seminar is designed for individuals who have never operated their own business or who want to take it from their garage to a storefront.
