Business Opportunity Fair
MAY 13—The Eastern Minority Supplier Development Council will host its 2015 Business Opportunity Fair from 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at the Monroeville Convention Center, 209 Mall Blvd., Monroeville. The theme is “Connecting Relationships, Building Bridges, Gaining Wins.” This is an opportunity for certified MBEs and corporate purchasing representatives to network in an open forum. Besides developing new business relationships, it will also allow attendees to gain a better understanding of the needs of customers, and identify key areas of growth and prospects for strategic partnerships. The Second Step
MAY 15—The University of Pittsburgh Small Business Development Center will host “The Second Step: Developing A Business Plan” from 7:30-10 a.m. at the University of Pittsburgh, Mervis Hall, Roberto Clemente Drive, Oakland. Attendees will learn all they need to about operational and production planning, conducting market research and creating financial spreadsheets to attract funding for one’s business.
