Members’ Mixer
APRIL 29—The African American Chamber of Commerce of Western Pennsylvania will host its Members’ Mixer from 5-7 p.m. at the Center for Organ Recovery & Education, 204 Sigma Dr., Pittsburgh. The evening will include an introduction of the evening’s host organization, CORE, and how it impacts families in the region. Attendees are asked to bring their business cards. Lunch and Learn Series
APRIL 30— The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh will host its Lunch & Learn Series at 12:15 p.m. at the Downtown & Business Branch, 612 Smithfield St., Downtown. The topic will be “Hiring a Home Improvement Contractor.” Caitlin Driscoll of the Better Business Bureau of Western Pennsylvania will facilitate this seminar. She will give helpful tips for hiring a contractor and understanding home improvement contracts as well as teaching homeowners their rights and responsibilities and how to avoid falling for a home improvement scheme.
