Westside Story and Lola Sims Public Relations recently held a Pop-Up Shop and Branding Seminar, Saturday March 21 held at the Father Ryan Arts Center from 12 p.m.-5 p.m. where local business owners, entrepreneurs, music artists, producers and those interested in pursuing advertising and marketing gathered to network and be educated on the art of branding.
“Pittsburgh used to be a city that people couldn’t wait to leave, but now I think that is changing. I myself left, but I’m back and now see the valuable opportunities and wealth Pittsburgh has compared to other cities. We’re just trying to make it more visible and obtainable through events like this one,“ Natasha Slade of Westside Story said.
The women of Westside Story and Lola Sims Public Relations presented the event. The power of social media brought the two businesses together to collaborate on this project. Lola Sims heard mention of the event via Instagram, and decided to reach out to Westside Story to see if she could be a part of the production of the event.
Lola Sims PR was originally established in Atlanta in 2007, but is now based in Pittsburgh. While owners Shawneca Reed, Natasha Slade, and Lashawn Reed birthed their business Westside Story 412, December 2013.
