Doctor Renee Galloway, the proprietor of Sweet Inspirations, LLC., strives to stay busy. Her days often consist of working a full time job, taking care of her family, serving as a professional coach and speaker and at times following her passion of baking.
She says she is ardent about assisting people in achieving and maintaining solid, personal and professional growth. “I empower people to pursue their goals and dreams while embracing tools and principles to make positive change a way of life,”
Just recently she touched the lives of more than 50 people in a 24-hour period. She inspired a group of women during a National Association of Women Business Owners Greater Pittsburgh event and the next day conducted a vision board session. Even though that is not her typical weekend, Galloway says she is working toward filling her schedule with audiences of adult women and teen girls.
“I welcome the opportunity to work with people of all ages; since birthing dreams and goals is not gender specific,” she points out.
Consistently setting and achieving goals for herself is one of the motivators that steered Galloway into the personal and professional development field.
“I believe I had something to offer to those who were serious about working toward their goals and getting things done thus, that is how the title of my book was birthed.”
“Done,” published several years ago is a guide to helping the reader prioritize, plan and perform to accomplish their goals. She says the reason she wrote “Done” is because, “I found myself talking with people about achieving their dreams and goals over and over and thought the information would be helpful if published as a guide.”
Galloway has over a decade of experience in developing and facilitating workshops in personal and professional development, financial principles, and Biblical economics at conferences, churches, and small group settings. She earned her Doctoral Degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Pittsburgh, her MBA from Point Park University, and her BS in Business Administration from Robert Morris University. She also has completed extensive leadership and financial related training programs, including those of Les Brown, Stephen Covey, John Maxwell, Larry Burkett, and Dave Ramsey.
Experienced in working with groups or individuals, Galloway says, “I leave no stone unturned when I work with my clients. Depending on their needs, I’ll perform any or all of the following; a thorough analysis of personal or business’ strengths and weaknesses, a competitive analysis of others in your space, industry trends analysis and forecast and a market opportunities analysis. The work culminates in a major deliverable: a detailed personal or professional action plan that puts one on the road to achieving both long and short-term goals.”
A diversity professional for a major Pittsburgh university, Galloway regularly conducts workshops and coaching sessions often sharing secrets of successful goal setting and accomplishments. As a Certified Professional Coach she says her responsibility is about empowering, mentoring, encouraging and motivating clients to identify goals and objectives, to develop plans and continue on their path toward self-improvement, balance and achievement.
Her areas of expertise include; personal and professional productivity workshops, goal setting, career development, vision board workshop facilitator, assistance with locating college financial aid, dissertation coaching, financial literacy, supplier diversity training and motivational speaking.
“This is nice. Encouraging,” said Ashawntae James, a Perry Traditional Academy student describing her vision board workshop experience. Her vision is to be a hair stylist and one day own a beauty salon. Leslie Parks who is retired used her vision board workshop experience to outline steps to take a vacation. “I’ve always wanted to travel to Barbados. I’m glad I attended this because it’s going to keep me focused on my goal. I found this session to be worthwhile.”
Often referred to as a dream board, Galloway says a vision board should be aspiring. She defined it as a tool used to help clarify, concentrate and maintain focus on a specific life goal. “Your vision can be personal, career, health, financial, educational or relate to any aspect of your life, she defined. Using the philosophy of the song, “Ain’t No Stopping Us Now,” Galloway encourages her workshop attendees to take the necessary actions and steps required to bring the vision into existence and to connect with people who can assist in making the vision a reality.
Looking at her own future, Galloway says she views herself traveling nationally and internationally to inspire and empower others through presentations, vision board sessions and retreats. “These avenues will be designed to encourage and empower people to live their best life by accomplishing their dreams and goals.”
