Just Sayin’…Does school desegregation really matter?

Recently the University of Southern California released a report dealing with school segregation in Pennsylvania. It stated that urban Pennsylvania schools are more segregated today than 25 years ago. Well, is that good or bad?
Most people think it’s bad because anything that is segregated, and especially more Blacks has to be bad. Right? No.
I say that instead of dealing with segregation or integration, schools need to be dealing with quality education. Making sure that each kid receives a quality education and a good paying job after he or she graduates should be the priority; no matter what percentage of the school, or class is Black.
Urban areas, (Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Harrisburg) have percentages of Blacks rising from 31 percent average to 45-55 percent, which is expected. Percentages in schools are determined first by the percentage of Blacks and Whites living in the city, and secondly how many can afford private schools.
