PNC Broadway Across America Pittsburgh presents “Motown the Musical” at 7:30 p.m. at Heinz Hall, 600 Penn Ave., Cultural District. “Motown the Musical” is the story of Motown founder Berry Gordy’s journey from featherweight boxer to heavyweight music mogul. It lets audiences experience the story behind the music and features classic songs from Motown artists such as Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Smokey Robinson and more. The show will run through Jan. 4. Nationality Rooms Holiday Tour
The University of Pittsburgh presents its 2014 Nationality Rooms Holiday Tour from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at the Cathedral of Learning, 4200 Fifth Ave., Oakland. Through Jan. 17, Pitt’s 29 Nationality Classrooms will be decked in holiday décor and feature daily tours. Each room will include a detailed explanation of the various holiday traditions celebrated by its room’s ethnic culture. This event is open to the public.
