Singer, songwriter, pianist and now producer, J’Aira Pryor does it all.
The 33-year-old Penn Hills area resident recently held a one-night only Christmas show entitled “O’Holy Night” at East Liberty’s Kelly Strayhorn Theater to remind people of the real reason for the season.
The concert, which featured Pryor performing contemporary and classic Christmas songs like “White Christmas” and “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” and special guests SPIRIT Mime Ministry from St. Paul Baptist Church in Oakmont, Praise, Worship & Deliverance singing group, also served as a food drive for East End Cooperative Ministries food pantry.
“My primary goal with ‘O’Holy Night’ was to give back to the community, that’s why we had the food drive, I also wanted to inspire, uplift and introduce myself as a producer,” she said.
Pryor has been producing classy, message-filled theatrical style shows since 2007. Her previous shows include “The Music in Me,” “J’aira and Friends,” and “Sweet Love.”
All of the productions displayed her diversity and passion for the fine arts through music, visual effects, scripture and more.
Her new production company, Key 88 Productions, LLC., specializes in concert production while delivering stellar quality. Her motto is “Why Go downtown when downtown can come to you?”
