Installation Ceremony

Community Conversation
DEC. 19—The Black Political Empowerment Project, the Alliance for Police Accountability, The Northside Pastors Alliance and others will host a Breakfast and “Community Conversation” with Pittsburgh Police Chief Cameron McLay from 9-11 a.m. at Project Destiny Inc., 2200 California Ave., North Side. The event will be facilitated by Lisa Sylvester of WPXI-TV and includes breakfast. Attendees are welcomed to submit their concerns, questions and suggestions. Reservations are required by Dec. 12. Toy Drive Distribution
DEC. 20—Groove Productions and the Wilkinsburg Borough will host a Toy Drive Distribution from 11a.m.-4 p.m. at the Wilkinsburg Borough Building, 605 Ross Ave., Wilkinsburg. Kid’s Christmas Party
DEC. 20—Nabhi Christian Ministries, Faith Lutheran Church, Joe Germinaro and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority will host its 17th Annual Kid’s Christmas Reunion from 4-7 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 7060 Lemington Ave., Lincoln-Lemington. This event is for kids, ages 0-12 and will include a day filled with entertainment, food, books and more. All kids must be registered and accompanied by an adult. Spirit of King
JAN. 15—Port Authority of Allegheny County, the Kingsley Association, the Pittsburgh Pirates and the New Pittsburgh Courier will host the 2015 Spirit of King Awards Ceremony at 10 a.m. at the Kingsley Association, 6435 Frankstown Ave., East Liberty. The morning will honor the late K. Leroy Irvis and the late Anderson Little. The event posthumously honors local leaders who exemplify the spirit of the late Rev.
