When singer, songwriter, musician and actress Bridgette Perdue came up with the concept for her most recent entertainment offering, “Uncommon,” she wanted the audience to be inspired and embrace what makes them uncommon and live that authentically.
“I wanted the audience to walk away appreciating what makes them as individuals—uncommon. Uncommon is all about embracing your authentic, flawed self and celebrate that uniqueness,” she said. “I really hope audience members could witness the stories of having a bad day, the frustrations that come with setbacks, and holding on to hope in the midst of uncertainty. If that message came across, I’ve done my job.”
Perdue did her job well, showcasing a stronger voice and more confidence on stage. She performed several songs that will be featured on her new album which is set to be released in early 2015.
“I didn’t know what to expect,” said audience member Tyrone Brown. “The way Bridgette put the show together was definitely uncommon. I enjoyed the art in the beginning and the original songs she sang stuck with me.”
