NAACP Election
NOV. 25—The NAACP Pittsburgh Branch will host its Election from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Hill House Association, 1835 Centre Ave., Hill District. Light Up a Life
NOV. 28—Adoption Connection, PA will host Light Up a Life at First Presbyterian Church, 252 College Ave., Beaver. This is a celebration of adoption and foster care all while learning about older child adoptions with ACPA and the Statewide Adoption Network. There will be pictures with the Elf on the Shelf, and free foodie baggies, cookies, carolers and more. Grandmother of Pearls

OASIS Training
DEC. 3—Pittsburgh OASIS Training will host its Training for Tutors at Macy’s Downtown, 400 Fifth Ave., Downtown. This program is operated in partnership with Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council and helps children in various neighborhoods learn to read. As an OASIS volunteer there is an opportunity to tutor in the Pittsburgh Public and Woodland Hills School Districts. Volunteers 50 or older will be trained and receive all materials at no cost.
