
A suburban Atlanta family man sent shockwaves reverberating throughout his Cobb County, Ga. neighborhood after he was arrested on federalĀ child pornography charges.
Nicholas Mazza, a girls softball coach who lives in Powder Springs, Ga., was snared by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security after their monitoring ofĀ peer-to-peer networksĀ and discovered a largeĀ number of child porn downloadsĀ to an IP addressĀ belonging to Mazza.
āIt is one of the worst, heinous crimes that anyone can commit, period,ā said Jack Huddleston,Ā Mazzaās neighbor.
According to Mazzaās website, he coached girlsā softball teams around the Cobb County areaĀ for more than a decade.Ā He also offered coaching sessions, according the website, WSB-TV reports.
Joseph Terrell said heās beenĀ Mazzaās neighbor for two decades, but this week he noticed federal agents going in and out of Mazzaās house.
āThe kids come by all the time. We had no ideaĀ something like that was going on,ā saidĀ Terrell.
After being questioned, Mazza reported came clean about the fact that heĀ viewed and saved child pornography for approximately 10 years, saying that āhis child pornography preference was girls around the age of 10.ā
