Go Red Fashion Show
NOV. 13—The American Heart Association will host its 2014 Go Red For Women Fashion Show at 7:30 p.m. at the Westin Convention Center Pittsburgh Hotel, 1000 Penn Ave., Downtown. The theme is “Fierce, Fit, Fabulous.” Enjoy an evening of fashion and inspirational stories. Appetizers and shopping boutiques will be available at 6 p.m. Registration is required by Oct. 29. Keepers of the Flame
NOV. 15—The Legacy Arts Project will host its 8th Annual Keepers of the Flame Awards at 7:30 p.m. at the Hill House Kaufmann Auditorium, 1825 Centre Ave., Hill District. Culture makers of Pittsburgh’s rich African and African-American heritage will be recognized for their contributions in art, social justice, education and visionary leadership. This year’s honorees are Chico Butler, Dr. and Mrs. Johnson, Helen Baynes, Joyce Meggerson-Moore, Poggie Bell and William “Oba” Wells. Information Fair
NOV. 22—The Fund for the Advancement of Minorities through Education (FAME) will host an Information Fair from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Kingsley Association, 6435 Frankstown Ave., East Liberty.
