The Jazz Series
MCG Jazz presents “The Jazz Series” exhibit from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild, 1815 Metropolitan St., Manchester. The visual art exhibit by artist Elena Hiatt Houlihan, includes nine large-scale pieces of acrylic paint on canvas or enamel on steel with collaged elements of handmade Japanese paper. In the collection there is a piece with a Pittsburgh connection; one of Houlihan’s pieces was inspired by a performance of legendary jazz artist Roger Humphries. The exhibit will be showcased weekdays through Dec. 15 and on weekends during scheduled MCG Jazz concerts. For more information, visit www.mcgjazz.org.

Built to Amaze!
Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey presents “Built to Amaze!” at 7 p.m. at the CONSOL Energy Center, 1001 Fifth Ave., Hill District. This show for children of all ages displays what it takes to build the “Greatest Show On Earth” with high-energy, high jinx and hilarity transported by colorful circus machinery and unleashed from shipping crates right before the audience’s eyes.
