Closing the Gap
    OCT. 2—YWCA Greater Pittsburgh and WQED will host “Closing the Gap: 50 Years Seeking Equal Pay” at 8 p.m. on WQED-TV. This one-hour talk show special, hosted by CNBC’s Sharon Epperson, will unpack hotly debated statistics and move beyond highly politicized talking points in order to explore the many factors that contribute to the wage gap, and strategies to overcome them. Suitable Hair Kick-Off
    OCT. 3—Dress for Success Pittsburgh will host its 1st Annual Suitable Hair Kick-Off Event from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at 332 5th Ave., Suite #510, Downtown. This is a kick-off event for the Suitable Hair program, which assists DFSP clients with hair care for upcoming job interviews. There will be an open forum educating and demonstrating appropriate hairstyles for work, easy ways to manage hair and everyday styling tips. Heritage Day Parade
