Chris Moore, the award winning producer from WQED Multimedia, has been nominated for four Emmy Awards at the Mid-Atlantic Emmy Awards held in Philadelphia on Sept. 20.
Moore has been a producer/host at WQED Multimedia since 1980.
Moore has won and been nominated for Emmy awards for some past productions such as “Pittsburgh’s Hill District: Wylie Avenue Days,” “Prescription RX for a Healthy Pittsburgh,” “The House: Westinghouse High School,” “The Torch Bearers: A Fight For Civil Rights in Pittsburgh,” “In Country: A Vietnam Story,” and “Hip Hop Pittsburgh.”
Moore has been responsible for many shows that deal with a variety of issues of public importance ranging from mentoring African-American youngsters to improving American literacy. He is also an experienced producer of gospel and jazz music programs.
Moore was the regular host of “Horizons,” formerly the Emmy nominated “Black Horizons,” is current host of “4802” on Fridays at 7:30 p.m. on WQED Multimedia. He can be heard on KDKA Radio talk show on Sundays from 4–9 p.m. and a Monday through Friday talk show at 10 a.m. on PCNC Television on Pittsburgh Now.
Since 1996, Moore has worked as a freelance host on a variety of national and regional teleconferences and public television programs on subjects as wide-ranging as computer to print imaging and laryngeal videostroboscopy.
