Baseball in Pittsburgh
The Carnegie Museum of Art presents the “Teenie Harris Photographs: Baseball in Pittsburgh” exhibition at the Carnegie Museum of Art, Scaife Lobby, 4400 Forbes Ave., Oakland. The exhibit highlights 25 of the most memorable photographs from Harris’ 700 images tracing the history of baseball in Pittsburgh’s Black communities. Clemente: The Legend of 21
NightBlue Theater presents “Clemente: Legend of 21” at 2 p.m. the Byham Theater, 101 6th St., Cultural District. In this performance, based on the life of legendary baseball player Roberto Clemente, three of the most influential people in Clemente’s life-his brother Matino, his wife Vera, and his friend and sports journalist Ramiro Martinez—meet at his funeral to reminisce about their life with him. The audience is taken on a journey through his early years in Puerto Rico, his tenure with the Pirates and the tragic accident on New Year’s Eve.
