Veterans Health Update
SEPT. 13—Gateway Medical Society will host the Veterans Health Update for Community Healthcare Providers from 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Herberman Conference Center, UPMC Shadyside Hospital Campus, 5150 Centre Ave., 2nd floor, Shadyside. The Soul Café

Operation HOME
SEPT. 20—The Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh will host its Operation HOME workshop from 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m. at the Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh, 610 Wood St., Downtown. This is an intensive homeownership program that equips potential interested homebuyers with a basic understanding of how to travel the path to mortgage qualification and maintaining homeownership. SEPT. 20—The American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association will host its 3rd Annual Power of Laughter Health Workshop & Comedy Luncheon from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Westin Convention Center, 1000 Penn Ave., Downtown. The afternoon will feature comedian Kim Coles and hip-hop violinist Humble G, and includes free health screenings, health workshops, exhibitors, a heart healthy lunch and more.
