Imani Gala
Sept. 6—Imani Christian Academy will host its 12th Annual Imani Gala at 7:30 p.m. at the Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Hotel, 600 Commonwealth Place, Downtown. This is the school’s largest fundraiser and proceeds will benefit the education of at-risk students they serve. The evening will include a cocktail reception at 6 p.m., live entertainment and inspirational testimonies by Imani students. Reservations are required. Faith Works Tribute
SEPT. 11—The NAACP Pittsburgh Unit will host a Faith Works Tribute from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, Long Hall Building, 616 N. Highland Ave., East Liberty. This event will honor faith leaders making a difference in the city of Pittsburgh. Reservations are required by Aug. 31. For more information, call 412-471-1024.
