Throughout the first weekend of August, The Hip-Hop Collective showcased a unique brand of art and music at both the Alloy Studios and The Kelly Strayhorn Theater in East Liberty. At the Kelly Strayhorn the evening was filled with talented local hip-hop artists and a headlining national star from New York City. On the stage, were performers such as local talent Kellee Maize, Jasiri X, Paradise Grey, DAVU, Palermo Stone, Get Down Gang and headliner from Brooklyn, Talib Kweli.
