Brown Bag Lunch Series
AUG. 20—Volunteers of America of Pennsylvania will host its Brown Bag Lunch Series from 12-1 p.m. at the Volunteers of America of Pa headquarters, 1650 Main St., Pittsburgh. The topic will be “Media Marketing” facilitated by Ola Jackson of the Onyx Women Network. This is a celebration of Black Business Month and an opportunity for attendees to learn how to build their voice in the Pittsburgh market from Jackson, a business veteran. Registration is requested. AUG. 23—The Center for Women’s Entrepreneurship at Chatham University and SCORE Pittsburgh will host a Small Business Basics Workshop form 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Chatham University, Mellon Board Room, Woodland Road, Shadyside. This workshop is for women interested in starting their own business or expanding their current one. Industry experts will discuss business planning, financing, bookkeeping, marketing and legal issues pertaining to small businesses. Business Ethics Award Nomination Deadline
AUG. 29—Nomination applications are due for the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals’ 14th Annual Pittsburgh Business Ethics Awards.
