Business Leaders  Breakfast
APRIL 11—The Chatham University Center for Women’s Entrepreneurship will host its Women Business Leaders Breakfast Series from 7:30-9:30 a.m. at James Laughlin Music Hall, Woodland Rd., Shadyside. The topic to be discussed will be “Successful Serial Entrepreneurship in Pittsburgh: One Woman’s Extraordinary Path” from guest speaker Mary Del Brady, proprietor of Mansions on Fifth Hotel and chairperson and CEO of Wellbridge Health Inc. Each month the series will feature prominent regional women business leaders speaking on a variety of progressive interactive presentations. Structuring Sales Calls
APRIL 15—The African American Chamber of Commerce of Western Pennsylvania Business Institute will host “Structuring The Sales Call” from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Koppers Building, 436 Seventh Ave., Downtown. This workshop will assist individuals on how to structure one’s sales calls. There will be a discussion on the process from establishing a relationship with the potential client to closing the deal. Entrepreneurship Miniseries
APRIL 17—The Squirrel Hill branch of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh will host its Entrepreneurship Miniseries from 6:30-7:45 p.m. at 5801 Forbes Ave., Squirrel Hill. The library will bring in experts to discuss issues facing today’s entrepreneurs for anyone launching a startup up business or trying to grow their business. This evening’s topic is “Business Basics and You.” Patricia Sallie will facilitate this business workshop for anyone interested in starting their own business or taking their idea to the next level. PowerBreakfast Meeting
APRIL 25—The African American Chamber of Commerce of Western Pennsylvania will host its PowerBreakfast Meeting at 7:30 a.m. at the Rivers Club, One Oxford Centre, 301 Grant St., Downtown. The special guest will be the President of the Greater Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce Dewitt Pear. As the new president, Pearl will discuss the Chamber’s priorities and listen to input for their planning process with the Allegheny Conference’s regional investors. Lunch & Learn
APRIL 25—The Chatham University Center for Women’s Entrepreneurship will host the “Lunch & Learn Event: The Business of Making Movies in Southwestern PA” from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at Chatham University, Mellon Board Room, 1146 Murray Hill Ave., Shadyside. Speaker Dawn Keezer, director, Pittsburgh Film Office, will tell attendees about the inner workings of the local film industry and what is shooting in the region. Registration is required.
