
The Legacy STEM Project held its Hands on Explore program at the Manchester Youth Development Center.

Legacy is started it’s fourth year of engaging African-American young people in math and science through hands on STEM activities, mentoring and parental engagement.

Legacy is a year round program provided as a support to our children. The Explore activity was the first hands-on activity this school year and is open to students in 3rd-8th grades.

In addition, there are 21 Legacy students grades K-12 who are currently practicing and preparing to compete in math, science, robotics and engineering at the National Society of Black Engineers Region 2 conference in Charlotte, N.C., in November.
