THE JUDGE & THE PRESIDENT—Judge Glenda Hatchett and NAACP President M. Gayle Moss

Judge Glenda Hatchett was the keynote speaker. Judge Hatchett served eight years as judge of Fulton County Georgia Juvenile Court. She is Georgia’s first African-American chief presiding judge of a state court and was the department head of one of the largest juvenile court systems in the country.

Judge Hatchett is author of “Dare to Take Charge” and “Say What You Mean & Mean What You Say,” and presides over the well-known, award-winning, nationally syndicated and internationally viewed show, “Judge Hatchett.” She was lauded for her creative sentencing and powerful administration of justice.

With a groundbreaking approach to courtroom television, she delivered revolutionary interventions where litigants “do time” with successful community leaders and professionals from the workforce, the arts, social activism, public service, and athletics. Judge Hatchett is also the recipient of the NAACP Thurgood Marshall award.

Hometown judges enjoyed the festivities along with NAACP President M. Gayle Moss and corporate chair Morgan K. O’Brien.
