FEB. 17—The African-American Chamber of Commerce of Western Pennsylvania will host its PowerBreakfast at 7:30 a.m. at the Rivers Club, One Oxford Centre, 301 Grant St., Downtown. The featured guest for the morning will be Michael Lamb, City of Pittsburgh Controller, and he will discuss the city’s fiscal health and procurement opportunities for Chamber Members. Diabetes seminar

FEB. 21—The Business Institute of the African-American Chamber of Western Pennsylvania will host “DIABETES: The Silent Killer Self Management of a Chronic Disease ‘Optimum Fitness & Eye Care’” from 3-5 p.m. at the Hill House Association, 1825 Centre Ave., Hill District. Dr. Jerome R. Gloster, of the North Side Christian Health Center, will discuss the benefits of Diabetics having regular eye examinations and an ophthalmologist use the Fundus Eye Machine. Job Fair

FEB. 22—Community College of Allegheny County will host Get Working Wednesdays from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Allegheny Campus, Foerster Student Service Center, 800 Allegheny Ave., North Side. Every Wednesday throughout the semester the college will hold a job fair with representatives from the region’s employers.
