EMANON Celebrates Christmas

On Dec. 11, at the Comfort Inn on Rodi Road the men of EMANON along with their families and invited guests gathered to welcome in the holiday season. The formula for the evening is much anticipated and guests can always count on a fun time. The evening began with light hors d’oeuvre’s, Eggnog and hot apple cider, and their famous or sometimes infamous ice breaker game.

This is “no get there and sit around” party, EMANON makes you work for your supper. Men and women alike rush around to find out who saw the movie “The Help,” went on a cruise in 2011, who was wearing a perfume that smelled nice, who was wearing a pretty dress and who would tell a joke. Once the sheets were completed, they were collected, the winners were announced and they walked off with prizes. A tasty meal was enjoyed and there was plenty of time for dancing.

This year there were numerous people who attended the party for the first time. Rumor has it that they hope to be invited back for the next holiday party. Each lady left with a beautiful poinsettia and warm memories of a beautiful night with EMANON.

EMANON has been around since 1954, only 52 men have been known as members. Their name was borrowed from a popular song of the day, which was composed and performed by Dizzy Gillespie. When the letters EMANON are arranged in reverse they spell NONAME.
