DEC. 7—The Government Agency Coordination Office, PTAC of California University of Pennsylvania and the Government Contracting Assistance Center, PTAC of Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania will host the Basics of Federal Government Contracting from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Comfort Inn Conference Center, 699 Rodi Rd., Penn Hills. This seminar will provide attendees with a basic understanding of federal government contracting and will include federal registrations and certifications, identifying procurement codes, government marketing and research methods and much more. DEC. 8—Classic Events! will host a Holiday Networking Mixer at 5:30 p.m. at The Union Project, 801 N. Negley Ave., East Liberty. Not only will this be an opportunity for individuals to network, but also five of this region’s outstanding African-American women who strongly represent the socio-economic climate will be honored.
