Parker named managing partner of McGuireWoods’ Pittsburgh office

McGuireWoods LLP announced that Brian Parker has been appointed managing partner of the firm’s Pittsburgh office. Parker, a member of the Product and Consumer Litigation Department, serves on the firm’s board of partners, co-chairs the life sciences industry group, and heads the product group in Pittsburgh. He succeeds David Pusateri, who was recently named deputy managing partner of the firm’s corporate practice.

Parker focuses much of his practice on defending pharmaceutical companies in litigation involving both prescription and over-the-counter drugs. He regularly advises pharmaceutical and medical device companies on compliance and regulatory issues. He will continue to maintain an active practice while handling managerial duties.

Outside the firm, Parker serves on the boards of directors of both the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and the Forbes Fund. He earned his J.D. from the Duquesne University School of Law in Pittsburgh in 1993.
