James D. Burwell’s 15 years of service as the pastor. Lecture

NOV. 11—St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 5801 Hampton St., Highland Park, will host its 14th Annual St. Andrew’s Lecture at 8 p.m. This is in celebration of the 400th anniversary of the Publication of the King James Bible. Philip Harrold will speak on “Englishing the Scriptures and Evangelizing the Nation: The Theology of Translation in the King James Bible.” It is free and open to the public. Gospel concert

NOV. 12—The Gospel Music Workshop of America’s Beaver Chapter will host a Pittsburgh’s Gospel Legends Celebration at 4 p.m at Calvary Baptist Church, 2629 Wylie Ave., Hill District. This is to honor some of Pittsburgh’s gospel legends and will feature an ‘old time sing a-long Gospel Hour’ format with traditional hymns, spirituals and gospel songs.
