On May 21, at the St. James AME Church in Sumpter Hall, Queen Esther Chapter No. 6, Deborah Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Prince Hall Affiliation, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania presented the Four Seasons Celebration and Fashion Show. Debra Nixon Stubbs, Teresa Duck and Charrise Jones served as event co-chairs.

The early evening event featured a tasty buffet dinner, musical selections, fashions, door prizes and the crowning of the king or queen for spring, summer, autumn and winter. Each king or queen of the season received a monetary gift and was asked to grace the stage while the fashion show continued. The show, with Lena W. Smith (Bathsheba No. 25) as commentator, featured fashions from a Women’s Touch in Wilkinsburg and selections from the models’ personal wardrobe.
During the awards ceremony three members of Queen Esther No. 6 were honored for their 30 plus years of service. The honorees: Sister Mathilda Everett (Past Worthy Matron), Sister Essie Jones (Past Worthy Matron), and Sister Rosie Thomas (Past Worthy Matron). The evening ended with remarks from Marla Clayton (Worthy Matron of No.6), Thomas K. Vaughan Sr. (Grand Worthy Matron No. 84), Elsie L. Caldwell (Grand Worthy Matron No. 32) and the Honorable Leonard A. Heard (Most Worshipful Grand Master No. 149).
